Lion Rock Minerals (ASX:LRM) prioritized an infill drilling program on the Minta Est project in Cameroon, targeting the largest contiguous areas with the highest thorium anomalies over the identified granite, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The firm identified the "monazite-enriched granite" basement on the Minta Est project as the source of monazite and heavy rare-earths. It sees a "significant value upside to shareholders" in exploring the thorium-enriched granite zone on the project with an "exceptional" heavy mineral assemblage.
Its shares rose 3% in recent trading on Wednesday.
