Productive Technologies (HKG:0650) said it expects to post a net loss of about HK$87.7 million for the six months ended Sept. 30, narrowing from a loss of HK$160.7 million a year earlier, according to a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing.

Shares of the firm were down 1% in Tuesday morning trade.

The company attributed the loss mainly to research and development and administrative expenses related to its continued expansion in the semiconductor and solar industries.
