Lifeway Foods Inc., the leading U.S. supplier of kefir and cultured probiotic dairy products, has launched Phase Two of its four-phase, $45 million expansion project at its Waukesha, Wisconsin facility. The multi-million-dollar investment aims to double the facility's production capacity by 2026 to meet increasing global demand for probiotic-rich foods. Phase Two of the project features the installation of a state-of-the-art cooling system to support expanded fermentation and bottling operations. The expansion is expected to boost operational efficiencies, increase staffing, and further solidify Wisconsin's role as a key player in the dairy and probiotic industries.
