0810 ET - Quebecor led the charge for the most number of net additions of new customers in 3Q among Canada's telcos. In a report, TD Cowen says this is the first time Quebecor led in a seasonally bigger period. "We also highlight that Quebecor was able to earn 15% of the total industry gross adds, up from 14.3% in the previous year," the analysts say. Canada's telcos have been battling it out for market share, driving down prices for customers to win more of them, especially after Quebecor entered the national stage as a carrier. "The gains made by Quebecor demonstrate that its value proposition across its portfolio of brands is working," they say, all while maintaining pricing discipline. (adriano.marchese@wsj.com)
