MW Who is reshaping the way we live, work, spend and invest? Meet the MarketWatch 25.

By MarketWatch

The leaders and thinkers whose ideas have impacted the way the government, companies and American society at large are grappling with technological change, higher prices and more

The MarketWatch 25 is made up of CEOs, policymakers, investors and influencers.

What do the CEO of a crypto platform, a social psychologist, an advocate for domestic workers and a Trump administration trade advisor all have in common?

At first glance, it may not seem like much. But Jeremy Alliare, the CEO of Circle (CRCL), Jonathan Haidt, a social psychologist and author of "The Anxious Generation," Ai-jen Poo, the founder of the National Domestic Workers Alliance, and Peter Navarro, the intellectual architect of President Donald Trump's trade war, are all on the MarketWatch 25 list this year.

These are the people reshaping how we live, work, spend, save and invest.

The list features leaders and thinkers whose ideas have impacted the way the government, companies and American society at large are grappling with technological change, higher prices, a U.S. economy sending muddled signals, and more.

Allaire's years of lobbying paid off in 2025 with regulatory reform that could usher in a dramatic change in the way we use digital assets. Haidt's book launched a movement of parents, educators and lawmakers that pushed more than a dozen states across the country to ban cellphones in schools this year. Poo is on the front lines advocating for workers who are caring for a huge number of aging baby boomers and contending with low wages and threats to their ability to work in the U.S. And a change in the decades-long status quo on trade that was fueled by Navarro's ideas has led to the most protectionist environment since the 1930s and roiled markets.

To compile the list, MarketWatch reporters scoured their beats to find the people whose ideas are truly making an impact. The result is a group that includes CEOs, policymakers, investors and influencers.

There's Tarek Mansour, the co-founder and CEO of Kalshi, a prediction market. Its influence has become so widespread that Americans are using it to bet on everything from election results, to sporting events, to Taylor Swift's appearances on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

As central bankers and policymakers struggle to understand the economy amid a dearth of data, Nela Richardson, the chief economist for payroll processor ADP $(ADP)$, has helped to make sense of the labor market. She lands on the list.

With his YouTube videos regularly racking up millions of views, Marques Brownlee's opinions on tech products from Apple, Google and more can be hugely influential. He makes the list as consumers are becoming more discerning with their spending.

Ron Vachris, the CEO of Costco $(COST)$, also appears on the list, with his company leaning on eggs, mattresses and more to creatively drive sales as shoppers look for bargains.

Regardless of their specific jobs, all of the members of the MarketWatch 25 are impacting your wallet. Find out who else made the list.
