Digital Hollywood Interactive Limited has announced the formation of a joint venture company with a partner wholly owned by The Sir Run Run Shaw Charitable Trust. Under the agreement, Digital Hollywood Interactive will hold an 80% stake in the joint venture, while the partner will hold the remaining 20%. The joint venture aims to co-develop games based on intellectual property rights associated with Chinese action movies and modern romance dramas. Approval of key decisions, such as the granting or licensing of IP rights to third parties and the appointment of senior management, will require a supermajority of more than two-thirds of the joint venture's board of directors. An independent third-party valuer will be appointed to ensure fair valuation of the intellectual property rights contributed by the JV partner.
