Smartphone shipments in the Middle East rose 23% year over year to 15.1 million units in Q3, Omdia, a unit of Informa TechTarget (TTGT), said Thursday.
Apple (AAPL) iPhone shipments in the Middle East totaled 1.4 million units in Q3, up from 1.2 million a year earlier, according to Omdia.
Apple's smartphone market share in the Middle East, which excludes Turkey, fell to 9% in Q3 from 10% a year earlier, Omdia said.
Samsung led with a 34% market share and total smartphone shipments of 5.2 million units in Q3.
