Bowman Consulting Group Ltd. has been awarded a $7 million multi-year contract by Seattle Public Utilities to lead the design of a habitat restoration and infrastructure project in the Fauntleroy Creek watershed of West Seattle. The project aims to enhance flood mitigation, restore salmon passage, and improve climate resilience in the area. Bowman will provide services including civil and structural engineering, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stream and habitat restoration design, utility coordination, environmental permitting support, and landscape architecture. Design is scheduled to begin in 2025, with construction expected to be completed by 2031. The project involves replacing an aging 376-foot-long culvert to support salmon recovery and modernize local infrastructure.
