1stDibs.com Inc. has released its ninth annual Interior Designer Trends Survey, offering a comprehensive analysis of the interior design market and industry trends for 2026. The survey, conducted with 468 design professionals worldwide, highlights a significant shift toward maximalism, eclecticism, and florals, with chocolate brown and vintage antiques also gaining popularity. The report notes that 36% of items sourced in 2025 were vintage or antique, marking the highest proportion since 2021, and that the use of antiques rose to 63% in 2026. The survey also reveals that global tariffs imposed in 2025 have negatively impacted designer businesses, leading to an increase in domestic sourcing, which now accounts for 72% of purchases. These findings underscore a growing preference for quality craftsmanship, historical styles, and local sourcing amid evolving economic conditions.
