SYDNEY--News Corp Deputy Chief Financial Officer Andrew Cramer will join the media conglomerate's majority owned Australian real-estate advertiser as CFO.

REA Group on Wednesday said that Cramer will become CFO on Feb. 12. Current CFO Janelle Hopkins has decided to retire and transition to nonexecutive roles, REA said.

Cramer joined News Corp in 2019 from Citigroup, where he helped build and lead the investment bank's technology, media and telecommunications coverage in Australia and New Zealand. He advised REA in that role, REA said.

News Corp, which owns about 61% of REA, is the parent company of Dow Jones & Co., publisher of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires. Dow Jones CFO Jared DiPalma will replace Cramer as News Corp's deputy CFO.

REA announced Hopkins' retirement less than three weeks after Cameron McIntyre started as chief executive.

REA announced in August that McIntyre would succeed Owen Wilson, who also retired for nonexecutive roles including as chairman of ASX-listed vehicle refurbisher Carma.
