Nokia (NOK) said Wednesday that it will reorganize the company into separate network infrastructure and mobile infrastructure operating segments, effective Jan. 1.

The network segment will be led by David Heard and consists of three optical, IP, and fixed network units, the company said.

The mobile segment will be led by Justin Hotard on an interim basis and will consist of core software, radio networks, and technology standards units, the company said.

The company has also named Raghav Sahgal as chief customer officer.

The company said the newly launched strategy is an attempt to present itself as a more AI-driven company, increasing growth in its AI and cloud services and developing AI-native networks and 6G.

The company also said it had new financial targets, including a goal to increase annual comparable operating profit to between 2.7 billion euros ($3.13 billion) and 3.2 billion euros, an increase from the 2 billion euros generated over the last 12 months.
