1722 ET - Gap's consistent execution and brand momentum are encouraging signs heading into the holiday season, Baird analysts say in a note. Gap had a solid third quarter, with healthy comparable sales at Old Navy, Banana Republic and its namesake brand, as well as growth across income demographics, the analysts say. Gap's gross margin guidance also appears conservative, the analysts note. They raise their price target on the stock to $27 from $26. Gap shares close up 8.2% at $24.96. (kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
