Altech Batteries (ASX:ATC) executed a mutual non-disclosure agreement with a major electric‑vehicle (EV) battery producer to allow for the confidential technical exchange and evaluation of materials, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The battery producer made an unsolicited approach to the firm, and it has prepared and supplied Silumina anode samples to the battery producer. The samples were shipped for formal testing in the battery producer's advanced battery evaluation laboratories in China.

The battery producer also requested that Altech undertake coating trials on their supplied graphite material to assess the performance impact of integrating Altech's proprietary alumina technology directly onto their own anode substrate.
