Island Pharmaceuticals (ASX:ILA) secured membership to the medical countermeasures coalition, an international coalition of non-profit organizations, academic groups, and industry partners focusing on medical countermeasures, including vaccines, therapeutics, diagnostics, and related technologies, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The membership is expected to help advance the firm's Galidesivir antiviral molecule program, preceding pending regulatory, clinical, and stockpiling opportunities.
Its shares jumped 14% in recent trading on Monday, earlier reaching an all-time peak.
