Electronic technology shares gained the most on the New Zealand Exchange, rising 6% by midday Tuesday.
Rakon (NZE:RAK) was the best performer in the sector, rising past 6% in recent trade.
Meanwhile, the non-energy minerals sector shares fell almost 2%.
Santana Minerals (NZE:SMI, ASX:SMI) was down almost 8% in recent trade.
The company on Monday said it received formal acceptance from New Zealand's Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) for its Fast-track Approvals Act (FTA) application for the Bendigo-Ophir Gold Project in Central Otago.
