Aurum Resources (ASX:AUE) completed the sale of nearly 2.9 million shares in Montage Gold at an average price of CA$7.30 apiece, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

The company expects to receive gross proceeds of roughly CA$21.1 million, the filing said.

The Montage Gold shares were issued to the company at CA$3.61 each as part of Montage's 9.9% investment disclosed in May, per the filing.

Aurum Resources shares rose nearly 4% in afternoon trade on Friday.
