Eclipse Metals (ASX:EPM) appointed BGR Group as a strategic advisor in the US, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

Under the deal, BGR will assist in elevating the company's Ivigtut project in the southwest of Greenland as a strategic western rare earth asset by engaging US lawmakers, federal agencies, and defense bodies and backing efforts to secure funding and partnerships for the company, the filing said.

Shares of the company rose 13% in recent Wednesday trade.
