ExxonMobil is planning to shut down the operations of its two steam crackers in Jurong Island, Singapore from March 2026, according to a report by Reuters on Thursday.
The shutdown is part of an industry-wide trend to reduce capacity in the midst of global losses, the report noted.
In the past two years, Exxon has been scaling down contract volumes across the city-state, the report added.
