1253 ET - Improving results for American Eagle's namesake brand reflects the strength of its key denim business, as well as the ongoing success of its marketing campaigns, Raymond James analysts say in a note. The brand's women's business underperformed during the latest quarter due to some out-of-stock inventory, but its focus on denim yielded better results toward the end of the period, the analysts say. Traffic is also significantly higher, especially online, driven by campaigns with Sydney Sweeney and Travis Kelce campaigns that boosted denim demand, they say. (kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
