Intel (INTC) is planning an 860 million Malaysian ringgit ($208.2 million) investment to establish an installation and testing operations center in Malaysia, the country's Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said on Facebook Monday.
Ibrahim disclosed the investment after a meeting with Intel Chief Executive Lip-Bu Tan during which the two discussed development of Malaysia's semiconductor sector, a translation of the Facebook post said.
Ibrahim also said Intel's 12 billion ringgit advanced packaging factory in Penang is now 99% complete.
