Fiverr International Ltd. has released its annual Freelance Economic Impact Report, highlighting significant growth in the U.S. freelance economy. The report, developed with market research firm Illuminas, analyzes data from millions of tax returns and Census Bureau statistics, estimating the size and earnings of independent professionals across the country. Key findings show the number of freelancers increased in every major U.S. city over the past year, with Las Vegas and Nashville now offering the highest average earnings for freelancers. Fastest growth in freelancer numbers was seen in Orlando, Miami, Nashville, Las Vegas, San Antonio, and Dallas, while Miami and Orlando led in revenue increases. The report estimates there are now 6.9 million independent professionals in the U.S., generating $319 billion in revenue, with nearly 4 million freelancers concentrated in the top 30 cities.
