Blue Moon's Revenue Growth Likely Weighed by Cautious Consumer Spending -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
2025/12/04

0057 GMT - Cautious household spending and aggressive pricing from new entrants in China's detergent market continue to weigh on Blue Moon's revenue growth, says equity analyst Jacky Tsang at Morningstar. "Consumers remain cautious about spending, as China's retail sales growth has declined since May," Tsang says in a note. Tsang lowers Blue Moon's 2025 sales growth estimate to 0.5% from 7.1% due to weak demand and increasing competition. However, Tsang notes that the company has adjusted its sales bundles on live-streaming platforms to lift average selling prices, which should support margins and partially offset slower sales growth. Tsang sees the shares as fairly valued, trading at 21X 2026 price/earnings and offering a dividend yield of roughly 4%. (monica.gupta@wsj.com)
