Altair Minerals (ASX:ALR) said the first completed trench at the South Oko prospect, part of its Greater Oko project in Guyana, confirmed the extension of carbonaceous sediments, sulfides, and quartz, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The second batch of soil samples has been sent to the laboratory, and all remaining samples are expected to be delivered within the next two weeks, the filing said.
Shares of the company rose 19% in recent Tuesday trade, hitting their highest since March 2021.
