NexGen Energy (ASX:NXG) said drilling at its Patterson Corridor East deposit, part of its Rook I project in Saskatchewan, Canada, returned the highest-grade assay to date at the area, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The assays returned 5.5 meters at over 21% grade of triuranium octoxide between 590 meters and 595.5 meters of depth.
The type of basement-hosted mineralization encountered at the Patterson Corridor East deposit is synonymous with the nearby Arrow deposit, said Chief Executive Leigh Curyer.
The firm's shares rose nearly 1% in recent trading on Tuesday.
