WIA Gold (ASX:WIA) said results from further drilling of 8,188 meters at its Kokoseb gold project in Namibia provided confidence in the continuity of previously identified high-grade zones, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
Drilling yielded 22 meters at 14.87 grams per tonne grade of gold from 265.4 meters and 6.8 meters at 5.12 g/t grade of gold from 344.3 meters, the filing said.
Results confirm that the mineralized system remains open at depth, providing "significant" upside for future underground development, the filing added.
The company expects a definitive feasibility study on the project in the second half of fiscal 2026, the company said.
Shares of the company rose nearly 1% and earlier hit a 52-week high.
