Stellantis (STLA) unit Chrysler is recalling 72,509 Ram vehicles in the US over a software issue with the instrument panel, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.

The glitch can cause the display to go blank, potentially affecting drivers' ability to monitor critical vehicle information, the agency said.

Dealers will inspect and update the instrument panel software or replace the instrument panel cluster, as necessary, free of charge, the NHTSA said.

Stellantis did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
