Yomiuri: Toyota Unveils GR GT Sports Car

Toyota Motor Corp. unveiled the GR GT sports car to the world on Friday at its "Woven City" testing site for advanced technology located in Susono, Shizuoka Prefecture.

The company aims to launch the model around 2027, alongside a racing version called the GR GT3.

The GR GT contains Toyota's first all-aluminum frame to reduce weight. It is a hybrid vehicle equipped with a 4-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, with a stated top speed of 320 kph.

The same day, Toyota also unveiled the LFA Concept, an EV sports car under its Lexus brand.
