NH3 Clean Energy (ASX:NH3) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Japan-based ITOCHU for the development of clean ammonia bunkering operations in the Asia Pacific, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The MOU also establishes a two-year collaboration aimed at developing clean ammonia bunkering operations in Western Australia by 2030, targeting an aggregated demand of 300,000 tonnes per annum from the company's WAH2 project, the filing said.
Additionally, the agreement aims to support the final investment decision for the project in 2026, per the filing.
NH3 Clean Energy shares rose 10% in midday trade on Monday.
