Comcast (CMCSA) said Thursday it expanded internet services to parts of Okeechobee County, Florida, as part of its efforts to provide connectivity in rural communities across the state.

The expansion will offer internet access to over 2,600 homes and businesses in the county, the company said.

Fiber network construction will continue in the county through 2026, expected to expand internet coverage to an additional 500 homes and businesses, Comcast said.
