Schlumberger (SLB) plans to invest $30 million to expand its manufacturing operations in Caddo Parish, Louisiana.

The project will add capacity at the company's technology center in Shreveport and may create 600 new direct jobs, Schlumberger and Louisiana Economic Development said Tuesday in a statement.

Work is scheduled to begin in January, with staffing increases planned through 2027 as new areas of the site become operational.
