Netcapital (NCPL) said late Monday it has appointed Rich Wheeless as chief executive officer.

Wheeless, who most recently was the CEO of a publicly traded logistics and warehousing solutions company, succeeds Martin Kay, the company said, adding that Kay will remain with the company as an adviser.

Shares of Netcapital were up more than 26% in after-hours activity.
