A unit of China Oriental Group Company (HKG:0581) acquired nearly 3 million shares in Jiangsu Shentong Valve (SHE:002438) from the market for 43.5 million yuan, or 14.73 yuan apiece, a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing said.

The shares, acquired through unit Hebei Jinxi Iron and Steel Group Heavy Industry Science and Technology, represent roughly 0.58% of Jiangsu Shentong Valve's issued shares.

Following the acquisition, the company owns over 7 million, or 1.38%, shares in Jiangsu Shentong Valve.
