PNC Bank Launches Spot Bitcoin Trading Access for Eligible Clients Via Coinbase

PNC Financial Services Group's (PNC) banking subsidiary said Tuesday it is launching direct spot bitcoin trading capabilities for eligible private bank clients.

Clients can buy, hold, and sell bitcoin directly through PNC's digital banking platform, supported by Coinbase Global's (COIN) Crypto-as-a-Service infrastructure, the bank said.

PNC plans to expand access to additional client segments and introduce enhanced features and services in due course.

PNC shares rose 1.1% in recent Tuesday trading, and Coinbase climbed 0.9%.
