Tamilnadu Petroproducts (NSE:TNPETRO, BOM:500777) will shut down its linear alkyl benzene (LAB) plant in India for a period of about eight to nine weeks starting Thursday, according to a same-day filing to the Indian stock exchanges.
The shutdown occurs in the wake of the expansion activities at the LAB plant, which will increase its existing capacity from 120 kilo tons per annum (KTPA) to 145 KTPA.
The expansion is in the final stages of completion, and to complete the expansion-related activities, the shutdown has been undertaken.
