1125 GMT - Primark's struggle for consumer relevance amid intensifying competition would hit parent company Associated British Foods's earnings, analysts at Jefferies write. Margins will remain tight despite a weakening dollar as competition from a resurgent Shein and others constricts pricing, the analysts say. Macro factors, including muted consumer confidence in the U.S., will also drag on the Primark owner, prompting the analysts to lower their sales forecasts for the brand. AB Foods trades down 1%, with the stock gaining 1.1% year-to-date. (josephmichael.stonor@wsj.com)
