Polaris Group (TPE:6550) appointed Samuel Chen as chairman, effective Monday, according to a same-day Taiwan Exchange filing.

Shares jumped about 10% in Tuesday's late afternoon trade.

Chen, a director, succeeds Steve J.P. Hsu in the role, the healthcare consulting company said.
