Insulet Corporation has announced the nationwide expansion of its Pod recycling program in the United States. The program, previously piloted in Massachusetts and California, allows U.S. customers to request a recycling kit online at no cost and return used Omnipod insulin pump Pods for recycling. The returned devices are decontaminated and sent to a company specializing in recycling electronics and medical products. Insulet also operates Pod takeback programs in several international markets. The initiative is part of the company's efforts to reduce landfill waste and support more sustainable product life cycles.
