Trane Technologies plc has announced new circularity impact metrics as part of its sustainability commitments. The company aims to generate 10 percent of its revenue from circular products and services and more than double its use of circular materials by 2030. These metrics expand on goals to design systems for circularity and include initiatives such as increasing the use of recycled materials, optimizing product use through services and remanufacturing, and reducing the embodied carbon of its products by 40 percent by 2030. The circularity strategy is aligned with the World Business Council on Sustainable Development's Global Circularity Protocol. Trane Technologies has also pledged to reduce customer greenhouse gas emissions by one gigaton and to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
