The initiative involves embedding molecular identity markers in materials such as plastics and precious metals, enabling persistent identification through industrial processes. SMX is working with research institutes and industry partners in Europe and Asia to test and implement these verification solutions. The company states that these efforts are intended to contribute to material traceability, authenticity, compliance integrity, and forensic auditability within the circular economy.
