Capitol Federal Financial (CFFN) said Wednesday it will pay a special dividend of $0.04 per share, payable Jan. 23, 2026, to shareholders of record on Jan. 9.

The company also said it bought back about 1.58 million shares at an average price of $6.72 per share from Oct. 1 through Dec. 16.

Shares were up over 1% in recent trading.
