Eve Holding Inc. has announced the successful completion of the first flight of its uncrewed full-scale electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) prototype. This milestone marks a significant advancement in the company's research and development efforts, validating the aircraft’s architecture, fifth-generation fly-by-wire controls, and integrated propulsion systems. The results, based on data captured during the initial hover flight, confirm the integration of key systems and will inform the next phases of flight testing. Eve plans to conduct hundreds of additional flights through 2026, progressively expanding the flight envelope and transitioning to full wingborne flights. The research findings are part of an ongoing process aimed at achieving type certification, with first deliveries and entry into service expected in 2027.
