Members of United Steelworkers (USW) Local 1123 have voted to reject a second tentative labor agreement with Metallus Inc., a leading specialty metals manufacturer. Despite support from both the union's local bargaining committee and international representatives, the proposed agreement—which included historic wage increases, enhanced healthcare benefits, and improved work-life provisions—was not ratified. Metallus expressed disappointment but affirmed its commitment to continue good-faith negotiations. The current contract, covering approximately 1,200 employees at the company's Canton, Ohio operations, has been extended until January 29, 2026.
