Worthington Steel (WS) reported fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings late Wednesday of $0.38 per diluted share, up from $0.19 a year ago.
Net sales for the three months ended Nov. 30 were $871.9 million, up from $739.0 million a year earlier.
Two analysts polled by FactSet expected $801.8 million.
The company maintained its quarterly dividend at $0.16 per share, payable March 27 to stockholders of record March 13.
Shares were up more than 2.5% in after-hours activity.
