Ecolab Inc. has completed its previously announced acquisition of Ovivo's electronics business, a global provider of ultrapure water technologies for semiconductor manufacturing. This move more than doubles the size of Ecolab's global high-tech growth engine and strengthens its position in serving high-growth industries such as semiconductor manufacturing and data centers. The newly acquired business will continue to operate near Basel, Switzerland, under the brand Ovivo, Ultrapure Water+ by Ecolab. According to Ecolab, combining Ovivo Electronics' ultrapure water technologies with Ecolab's water, digital, and service capabilities will enable the company to offer advanced circular water management solutions and help customers in the semiconductor industry significantly reduce water usage.
