SMX (Security Matters) plc has announced a joint initiative with FinGo, a secure digital identity provider, and Bougainville Refinery Ltd (BRL) to develop a comprehensive technology framework for authenticating the gold supply chain. The collaboration aims to establish Bougainville as a global model for transparent and responsible gold trade by integrating SMX's molecular-level gold authentication, FinGo's biometric digital identity and KYC/AML infrastructure, and BRL's operational expertise. The project will focus on delivering end-to-end traceability and auditability for both the physical gold and the individuals involved in its handling, supporting compliance with international standards and enhancing confidence in the global precious metals market.
