Midas Minerals (ASX:MM1) completed the acquisition of the Otavi copper project in Namibia, from base metal producer Nexa Resources, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

Drilling at the company's deposit is set to start in early 2026, the filing said.

Shares of the company rose 5% in recent Monday trade and earlier hit a 52-week high.
