Renascor Resources (ASX:RNU) said it continues to advance construction activities at its Australian Government co-funded purified spherical graphite (PSG) demonstration facility in South Australia, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The company said it has installed the kiln and tanks, completing installation of all major equipment for the purification circuit.

The company has completed commissioning for on-site utilities and other completed infrastructure, including the air compressor system, while process piping and electrical installation works are advancing.

Remaining activities include completion of process piping and electrical works, integration of the water treatment system, and progressive system and process commissioning.

The filing added that the construction remains on schedule, with a zero lost-time injury record, and completion of major construction works is expected next quarter.

Once operational, the facility will demonstrate a hydrofluoric acid-free purification process, positioning the company as a sustainable and "globally competitive" alternative to China's PSG supply chain.

The company's shares rose 1% in recent Tuesday trade.
