This measure aims to protect the EU’s domestic choline chloride industry, in which Balchem Corporation is a key producer, from unfair trade practices. The regulation is intended to ensure the stability of the EU food and feed supply chain, safeguard local jobs, and support continued investment in European production and innovation. Additionally, new customs origin rules clarify that choline chloride manufactured in China and shipped via third countries will still be considered of Chinese origin, helping prevent circumvention of these duties.
