Western Gold Resources (ASX:WGR) posted an updated mineral resource estimate of 4.8 million tonnes at 1.8 grams per tonne grade of gold for 277,000 ounces for its Gold Duke project in Western Australia, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.
The update includes the results of the recently completed reverse circulation grade control and infill drilling, along with refined geological interpretation, updated domaining and estimation parameters, as well as revised economic assumptions, the filing said.
Shares rose 3% in morning trade on Monday and earlier reached their highest since October 2021.
