Charger Metals NL (ASX:CHR) said it discovered high-grade gold at its Mt Gordon tenement within the Lake Johnston lithium-gold project in Western Australia, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The Xmas soil anomaly covers an area of around 1.8 kilometers by 1.7 kilometers and contains five gravity and magnetic targets. It encountered hits of 12 meters at 6.55 grams-per-tonne grade of gold from 132 meters, as well as eight meters at 1.57 g/t grade of gold from 148 meters.
Charger plans to restart the drilling campaign at the project in January 2026, where it is fully permitted to drill over 40 holes.
Its shares jumped 73% in recent trading on Tuesday, reaching the highest point in over two years.
